Job Summary:
The Project Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all project documentation, project drawings, and project toll gate processes meet the highest quality standards. This role involves meticulous review, verification, and validation of project-related documents and drawings, as well as ensuring compliance with established quality procedures and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation Quality Assurance & Project Processes:
- Review and approve all project documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain a comprehensive documentation control system to manage and track all project documents.
- Conduct regular audits of project documentation to identify and rectify any discrepancies or non-conformities.
Drawing Quality Assurance:
- Verify and validate project drawings for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with design standards.
- Coordinate with design and Project engineering teams to resolve any issues or inconsistencies in project drawings.
- Maintain an organized archive of all project drawings and revisions.
Project Toll Gate Process Management:
- Ensure that all project toll gate processes are followed and documented according to established procedures.
- Conduct reviews at each toll gate to verify that all quality requirements and deliverables are met.
- Facilitate toll gate meetings and ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned on quality requirements.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Develop and implement quality control plans for project documentation and drawings.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct regular quality audits and prepare detailed reports on findings and corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in project quality processes and documentation practices.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project quality.
- Provide training and support to project teams on quality standards and procedures.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives.
- Provide regular updates on quality status, issues, and resolutions to senior management.
- Address any quality-related concerns or queries from project teams and clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance role within the engineering or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, documentation standards, and drawing verification processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001 or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma).
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of CAD software and drawing standards.
- Prior experience in managing toll gate processes for large-scale projects.
