Job Description:
The Technical Proposal Engineer for Condition Monitoring of Electrical Assets will be responsible for developing end-to-end solutions for condition monitoring of various electrical assets, and creating comprehensive proposals that meet the specific requirements of customers. The role requires a deep technical understanding of transformer monitoring systems, partial discharge monitoring, SF6 monitoring, GIS condition monitoring, IoT technologies, and network communication protocols like IEC61850, DNP, Modbus TCP/IP. Additionally, the Technical Proposal Engineer should have an understanding of Single Line Diagrams (SLD) to create proposals for new or existing clients. The goal is to provide customers with the best possible solutions to meet their needs while keeping technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness in mind.
Roles & Responsibility:
- Develop technical solutions for monitoring electrical assets such as transformers, switchgear, GIS, AIS.
- Create technical proposals for end-to-end solutions for monitoring electrical assets.
- Review and analyze customer specifications and requirements to ensure compliance with technical specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather technical information required for proposal development.
- Ensure that technical proposals are both technically feasible and cost-effective, while also meeting the customer’s needs.
- Present technical proposals to clients and stakeholders and maintain positive relationships with clients to enhance business opportunities.
- Have a good understanding of network communication protocols like IEC61850, DNP, ModBus TCP/IP to develop effective technical solutions for monitoring electrical assets.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes related to
monitoring electrical assets.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in technical proposal development for condition monitoring of electrical assets.
- Knowledge of transformer monitoring systems, partial discharge monitoring, SF6 monitoring, GIS condition monitoring, IoT technologies, and network communication protocols like IEC61850, DNP, ModBus TCP/IP.
- Understanding of Single Line Diagrams (SLD).
- Knowledge about software enterprise applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple prospects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Experience with technical proposal management.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards related to condition monitoring of electrical assets.
- Experience working with clients in the power and utility industry.
